Green Lanes is fast, scary and dangerous for people cycling.  In three years, 57 people have been injured or killed using the road: a third of them were walking or cycling.  This is despite having speed cameras fitted.  Change is essential.

Call to action: Support the filters!

The Council have announced that they will be taking plans to Cabinet on Monday 29th June to install several filters in the London Fields area.  

We encourage you to write you your local councillors to express support for these schemes, which are very welcome and would create a large low traffic neighbourhood....

We have released ten locations Hackney Council should immediately make safe for walking and cycling. If completed, they would see Chatsworth Road become a pleasant street market, Hackney Wick return to its Olympic-era quiet, and a safe cycling route from Finsbury Park to Clissold park.

New Balls Pond Road crossing CS1 consultation

Hackney Council is again working with Islington Council and Transport for London (TfL) to make improvements to the Cycle Superhighway Route 1 (CS1) on Balls Pond Road.
